The New Max Mara 'Whitney Bag' is Inspired by the Whitney Museum

Fashion house Max Mara recently teamed with Renzo Piano Building Workshop to design and create the Whitney bag, a beautiful tote inspired by The Whitney Museum.

The Whitney Museum of American Art is a brand new New York museum. Along with a grand opening celebration, the Piano Building Workshop wanted to construct a bag that reflected the museum's architecture. With the help of Italian fashion house Max Mara, the Whitney bag has been brought to life. This sleek bag is a structured and boxy tote that features calfskin shells resembling the ribbed design of the The Whitney Museum. The top stitch and color palette of the bag also mirror the museum's exterior design.

The Whitney bag is now available for purchase but exclusively for collectors.
