Artist Nobusama Takahashi created these seasonally appropriate black and white skull candies that are simply sugar cubes. The intricate confection cubes are made from a premium Japanese sugar that is mixed with Bamboo charcoal.
A total of 18 black and white skulls were created for this particular project. All 18 treats were then placed in a skull-mimicking box. The white box was completed with black eyes, a nose and teeth.
In the spirit of Halloween, these life-like skull candies make the perfect decor accents. With a shelf life of up to one year, these treats can be used for other occasions as well. However, since they are made out of sugar, they can immediately be used as a coffee or tea sweetener when Halloween festivities are over.
