The 'Little Rascal' Ale Makes Liberal Use Of Lemony Hop Varieties

Avery Brewing Company, which has established itself as one of the true lynchpins of the Colorado craft beer scene thanks to nearly three decades of brewing experience and excellence, has decided to go the mischievous route with its latest endeavor, a white ale that is dubbed Little Rascal.

Long-time fans of Avery Brewing will recognize the rascal reference thanks to the company's flagship Belgian-style white ale, the White Rascal. This latest reinterpretation of that classic brew features the classic ingredients such as Belgian yeast, but then features an unexpected twist with the infusion of citrus-first hops, namely the Meyer lemon, Lemondrop and Citron Limon varieties.

As a result, this white ale turns out to be a concoction that is eminently sessionable thanks to the liberal citrus notes and its manageable ABV of only 4.5 percent.
