Hijup.com Shows How Women Wearing Hijabs are Fighting Controversy

A campaign from 'Hijup.com' titled '#EmpowerChange' was created by production house 'Anatman Pictures' and led by creative director Mahatma Putra as a means to inspire conversation surrounding women wearing hijabs.

In order to do this, a short video promoted by the company demonstrates how women who choose to veil themselves do not fall into one category, despite the unfortunately widespread perception that they do. In addition to this, the women interviewed in the video who are wearing hijabs for their own religious purposes explain the controversy that they've faced in a community that's oppressive of their freedom.

#EmpowerChange encourages other women to express themselves in their own endeavors, with the video showing metal band singer Asri Yuniar, tae kwon do athlete Lia Karina Mansur and Muslim fashion influencer Dian Pelangi as a few women who are working to inspire the next generation of women.
