Hi-Tech Gel Manicures

Ritual Nail by Wearable Services Boasts Built-In Sensors

Wearable Services has introduced a hi-tech manicure that takes the world of nail art to a futuristic level. Although part of their larger 'Useless Wearables' category in which the studio purposefully "designed wearables with the idea that they would be 'useless'," as written on its website, it does give the basic manicure more purpose.

Dubbed Ritual Nail, creators of Wearable Services, Kristina Ortega and Jenny Rodenhouse, propose to embed gel manicures with digital sensors that will provide bio feedback, behavior modification and programmable reminders. Wearable Services will essentially be a pop-up operation. The manicures themselves will not be created by traditional manicurists, but 'technology technicians.' The Ritual Nail look appears to still focus on style as well.
