Fairy Tale-Inspired Homes

A Modern Day Rapunzel's Water Tower House by Zecc Architects

Ever wonder what it might be like to be a real-life Rapunzel? Well now you can climb to the top of this water tower house and let your hair down. This water tower in the Netherlands was originally built in 1931 and has been converted into a contemporary, nine level home.

There’s a gorgeous winding staircase, so there’s no need to grow out your hair to form a golden stair. Zecc Architects, who converted the tower, put in extra glass panels to allow for more natural illumination in the water tower house.

The water tower house consists of many small rooms stacked on top of each other, maintaining the integrity of the building. Dashing, silk-baring prince not included.
