Oslo-based studio Haugen/Zohar Arkitekter (HZA) designs a resting area with a washroom facility on one of Norway's scenic tourist routes. The architectural approach to the installment is interesting as the little structure "sweeps upward from a poured-concrete viewing terrace."
HZA named the rest area 'Ureddplassen.' Its modern and design-forward aesthetic can be ascribed to two things— HZA's high quality architectural experience, as well as the fact that the area is frequently visited by tourist and locals who want to experience and "observe the Northern lights in winter and the midnight sun in summer." The wave-shaped washroom facility will not only add comfort and relief to the many guests, but it will also add a welcoming man-made presence.
