Wander Matrich, an artist from Michigan, has created an enormous replica of a Lincoln Penny using 84,000 pennies. Her unique creation has been acquired by Ripley's Believe It or Not and it will be displayed at one of Ripley’s Odditoriums.
In 2010, Wander Matrich started to work on her sculpture from the pennies collected during her tough financial times. Matrich nearly spent more than ten hours a day for three months to create this amazing piece of art, which was placed sixth at the ArtPrize competition in Grand Rapids.
