This Waitrose box wine has been created by the retail brand in collaboration with Italy-based wine producer Orion Wines as a premium libation option that's focused on delivering a high-quality libation in an eco-friendly packaging.
The "bag in tube" wine contains the equivalent of three bottles of wine and is packaged in a 100% recyclable packaging that is lightweight without sacrificing style. The wines are produced by Head Winemaker at Orion Wines Alessandro Michelon, and are both vegan and organic.
Waitrose buyer Marien Rodriguez spoke on the new box wine product saying, "This is an important step forward in our efforts to become the leading sustainable retailer in the UK. These beautiful Italian wines offer customers the possibility to enjoy wine in a sustainable way. They are organic, vegan and come in a beautifully designed, fully recyclable and convenient tube.
