Astrobotic Announced It Will Use the Vulcan Rocket for Its Initial Mission

The space startup Astrobotic has indicated that it will use the Vulcan rocket in order to aid its moon mission. Astrobiotic is aiming to create a moon delivery network. In order to build the network, it will use the Vulcan rocket, which was developed by the United Launch Alliance. The Vulcan rockets inaugural cargo will be the lunar lander created by Astrobotic. The looner lander can carry up to 200 pounds of cargo. The launch will reportedly take place in 2021.

The Astrobotic company operates in Pittsburgh and t intends to build a network that will be able to transport cargo to the moon. The network will support research efforts that will occur on the moon. The company's CEO John Thorton indicates the companies aim, "Our goal is to make the Moon accessible to the world."
