Collaborate Matches Volunteers with Experience-aligned Opportunities

Collaborate is a New Zealand-based volunteer app that connects users with charitable opportunities that align directly with their work experience and interests. Ensuring that volunteers are giving back to a good cause while also doing something they're passionate about, the app aims to encourage more community involvement New Zealand wide.

With thousands of volunteer opportunities created so far, Collaborate was launched by sisters Poppy and Holly Norton, Ceara McAuliffe Bickerton, and Sophie Harker. The mobile platform is described as a volunteer app by volunteers and compares itself to other matchmaking platforms like Tinder but with a social good focus.

"It’s supposed to make volunteering more accessible to anybody who wants to get out there. But in particular, why we started it was for young people to have an easier way of finding volunteering roles that matched their skills, interests, and time they had available," says Poppy Norton about the company.
