Volt Café March 2014 is full of fresh florals to get us excited for the spring season. The online magazine's latest beauty editorial 'Tropical Tribes' was captured by photographer Tomas Falmer exquisitely.
The models featured in the spread look like warriors of spring with their brightly painted, floral-like makeup. Fresh, tropical flowers are woven into the models' tresses and their faces are painted to match. Many flowery looks include the use of purple and black striped orchids. Their nails are also painted vividly with turquoise, orange, canary yellow and pink lacquer.
Makeup artist Linda Öhrström used 100% toxic-free and pure, vegan face paints. Volt Magazine thrives on being eco-friendly; it's unbounded, printed on organic recycled B1 paper, printed using vegetable-based ink and hand folded. It comes as no surprise that its editors would want to apply similar principles to the online publication.
