Car Wreckage Smartphone Cases

The Volkswagen Crashed Cases Warn Against Texting and Driving

Texting and driving is a surefire way to dramatically increase your chances of getting into an accident, so the Volkswagen Crashed Cases have been designed as a way to remind you of the danger every time you pick up your device.

Developed in a partnership between Volkswagen Sweden and Nord DDB, the cases were created by metal artist Lennart Wintermyr from cars that were damaged in an accident caused by distracting driving. A total of 153 cases have been created to correlate with the number of crashes that have been caused by texting and driving since smartphone usage behind the wheel was banned in Sweden.

Proceeds from the purchase of Volkswagen Crashed Cases go towards Trafikskadefonden, which aids victims of traffic accidents with rehabilitation.
