The Vogue Russia July 2012 Smit Photoshoot is Playful and Vintage

The Vogue Russia July 2012 photoshoot features highly saturated images and a vintage Nimue Smit. The Dutch model has worked in the past with Prada, Burberry and TOpshop, and her entries into the publication world have been met with much success. Here Smit has done it again, this time with a retro 1960s vibe.

The floral skirts and horn rimmed glasses showcased here all evoke images of times past. Smit's funky blown out do further echoes 60s looks, most often seen in mod snapshots of fashionable go go girls. British photographer Matt Irwin orchestrated this Vogue Russia editorial, and given his successes with Esquire UK, Muse Magazine and GQ, it is no wonder that he pulled off the old school theme with a new school appeal.
