Superimposed Scholastic Editorials

The Vogue Netherlands Wonderland Photoshoot Cuts Up Photos

The Vogue Netherlands Wonderland editorial is being published as a part of the magazine's September 2014 issue. Images of models Jitte Oerlemans and Farhiya Shire are superimposed upon snapshots of lush green forests, making it appear as if the women are embedded within the backdrops.

Photographer Ruud van Empel provided the evident creative direction present in Wonderland. He brought his vision to life with the help of stylist Marije Goekoop who dressed Oerlemans and Shire in large square-shaped glasses, button up oxford shirts, crisp academic blazers, double breasted jackets and patterned white tights.

Given the prim nature of Goekoop's pieces, it follows that there are back to school elements present in this series. Young readers will thus take cues with a mind for their Fall 2014 on-campus looks.
