Demure Pastel Editorials

Josefien Rodermans Stars in the Vogue Japan June 2014 Issue

Josefien Rodermans isn't necessarily how I imagined the Rolling Stone's iconic 'Ruby Tuesday' to look like, but she stars in the editorial of the same name for Vogue Japan's June 2014 issue nonetheless.

For those unfamiliar, the song was supposedly inspired by a free-spirited groupie. The lyrics certainly attest to this, as Mick Jagger croons, "Goodbye, Ruby Tuesday/ Who could hang a name on you?/ When you change with every new day/ Still I'm gonna miss you."

Slathered in diamonds and pearls, Rodermans looks more like a "lady who lunches" than a bohemian wild child intent on following a band. Fashion editor Mary Followes added to the demure look with prim, ankle-length white gloves. A pulled-back coif and frosty pastel makeup tied everything together.
