Vogue Italia's October Issue Teaches Us How to Layer

The 'Shape Shift' editorial in Vogue Italia's October 2014 issue features an all-star cast, including Karlie Kloss, Coco Rocha, Sasha Pivovara, Lexi Boling and Ameline Valade.

They say that fall is the season for layering -- sweaters, scarves, flannel, what have you -- but these ladies take it to the next level. Fashion editor Karl Templar styled the shoot, liberally piling on sweater after poncho after sweater. However, he made sure to "layer" in an inventive way, tying sweaters around the girls' necks, waists and limbs. In the end, the models look like abstract pieces of art.

The creative team was rounded out by hair stylist Guido Palau, makeup artist Pat McGrath and photographer Steven Meisel.
