Virgin Galactic's “Mothership” Eve Makes First Public Flight

The long awaited arrival of Virgin Galactic’s "Mothership" Eve has finally come. At EAA Airventure (world’s largest private air show), Eve took flight in public for the very first time.

Eve has flown numerous times before (unseen) and has topped distances of over 50,000 feet. Eve’s job is to propel SpaceShip Two up near the atmosphere and then launch it a top speeds.

It’s kind of freaky to think how rapidly approaching it is to be able to take a vacation to outer space (for a pretty PRETTY penny of course).
