VELLO's Latest E-Bike Charges While Braking or Going Downhill

The latest VELLO bike design from the e-bike manufacturer places an emphasis on three things: range, portability, and weight. The bike boasts a minimum weight of 14 pounds without its electric battery and motor, while the weight is increased to only 21.8 pounds while fully equipped. On top of this, this VELLO bike can be folded into itself, making it incredibly easy to carry. In fact, VELLO compares the weight of the bike while folded to a six-pack of bottled water.

As for the specifications of this ultra-lightweight bike, it features a motor powerful enough to achieve 25 km/h, and a battery that can supply this motor for 50 kilometers on flat terrain. One of the most notable features of this bike, though is the inclusion of kinetic energy recovery systems (KERS). The KERS allow the bike to recharge portions of its battery while braking or traveling downhill where the kinetic motion of the tires is converted back into battery power.
Trend Themes
1. Self-charging E-bikes - The integration of KERS technology in e-bikes that recharges its battery while braking or travelling downhill.
2. Ultra-lightweight Bikes - The development of compact and easily foldable electric bikes that weigh less than 22 pounds, promoting portability and ease of transportation.
3. Increased E-bike Range - The creation of e-bikes with a battery that provides a range of 50 kilometers on flat terrain, enhancing long-distance commuting and reducing carbon emissions.
Industry Implications
1. Electric Bikes - The electric bike industry can leverage the integration of KERS technology and the development of ultra-lightweight and easily foldable bikes for the production of sustainable and efficient means of transportation.
2. Commuter Transportation - The commuter transportation industry can benefit from the increased range of e-bikes and the efficient and eco-friendly means of transportation offered by these technological innovations.
3. Green Technology - The green technology industry can capitalize on the increased demand for sustainable and eco-friendly products, such as ultra-lightweight and self-charging e-bikes, to promote and advocate for a more sustainable and carbon-neutral future.
