I will bet dollars to donuts that the as of yet unnamed Vauxhall/Opel concept EV will steal the spotlight at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. The concept is a two-seater four-wheeled pod car designed primarily for younger (and cash-strapped) drivers.
Although the Vauxhall/Opel concept EV hasn't been named, there are a few things we do know. The concept has a maximum speed of 75 MPH and a maximum range of 60 miles. Charging information has not been given out, but the two companies say that the car would cost as little as one euro ($1.36) to charge. The concept is also incredibly light for a motor vehicle, weighing in at an ultra-slim 700 pounds.
The concepts low-profile and sleek design should make it a hit when it debuts in Frankfurt this weekend. Vauxhall and Opel have both hinted that the car is a potential production piece which means that good word of mouth from the Frankfurt Motor Show could send it straight to the assembly line.
