Chromatic Vaporized Dyes

THE UNSEEN Has Developed a Dye That Changes Hue When in Contact with Air

THE UNSEEN design studio recently put together an interesting vaporized dye compound that changes color when it comes in contact with air. The ink is programed to fluctuate in hues depending on the air floating around the body. The first use of the dye can be seen in the Swarovski couture capsule collection titled 'air.'

In the Swarovski couture capsule collection, the brand integrated THE UNSEEN dye into the clothing's layered fabrics. As the pressure changes around the garments the colors in the clothing shift in a gradient chromatic display. The fluctuations in the air pressure are shown graphically in a visual display of color. The viewer can see in real-time as the dye is being activated through the changing shades of the clothes. It's visually stunning to watch the dye change colors within seconds.
