Toilet Graffiti Embroideries

Having always been repulsed by the appalling condition of most public toilets, I have honed my ability to ‘hang on’ so well that I haven’t set foot inside a public toilet for more than a decade.

For this reason, I had no idea that toilet wall graffiti had evolved from ‘X loves X’ and ‘X was here’, to become more like intimate postsecret confessions.

Artist Frances Goodman has been busy gathering the scribbles and scrawls from public toilet walls and using them as inspiration to create these unique ‘Toilet Graffiti Embroideries.’
