The TimeWalker Urban Speed e-Strap, a collection of watches from Montblanc, helps convert luxury watches into smart luxury watches. This strap takes the functions of a regular smartwatch but can be used in conjunction with any conventional mechanical watch. The electronics are stored in a steel case.
The strap itself is made of what Montblanc refers to as 'extreme leather'. The stap's upper surface is treated with carbon, which bonds with leather to give it a distinctive appearance. It also makes the strap more durable, abrasion-resistant, water-resistant and heat-repellent.
The e-Strap series will be available in June, with princes ranging from $3,750 for the automatic to $5,600 for the chronograph. The strap itself is available separately for $418.
