Tiny Whimsical Children's Decor

The ‘Urban Fairies Operations’ Features Fun and Magica

If you’re ever in Ann Arbor, Michigan, make sure to stop by Sweetwaters Coffee and Tea to see the Urban Fairies Operations by Jonathan Wright. Wright has created miniature doors for the imaginations of children to run wild. The fairy-inspired housing is seen all across books, in which there are tiny windows, stairs, in which there are little entrances, and more.

Located within the Sweetwaters Coffee and Tea are journals, designed along the same lines as the doors and openings across the shop, for children to leave their messages of delight. Children have been so taken with this project that they leave hilariously adorable messages to the fairies and offer up pennies, miniature baskets and more for the fairies’ doorsteps. Wright initially designed these doors for the amusement of his own children, but decided to go public with great success.
