Space Copenhagen Designs a Stool with Coffee Shells and E-Waste for Mater

Designer Space Copenhagen has created a slick and timeless upcycled stool for the furniture brand Mater. Named the 'Eternity High Stool,' the piece is intended to be durable and presents an eco-conscious. It presents an interesting juxtaposition of materials. Space Copenhagen combined coffee shells and the remnants of e-waste to deliver this upcycled stool design.

The Eternity High Stool is part of a greater collection by Mater that experiments with sustainable manufacturing methods. Mater founder Henrik Marstrand notes how this approach contributes to the product's aesthetic: "The furniture we make with Matek has a completely unique look because the material has been created by combining various waste materials and recycled plastics. Matek has a depth and materiality reminiscent of stone, terrazzo, or marble, but is completely its own."
