TopShop is a glorious fashion heaven for many shopaholics on the high street, but to design for ‘the worlds largest fashion store’ is an absolute dream for a young designer graduate starting out in today's uncertain fashion industry.
For Simone Shailes, however, it is a dream come true. In an interview with Dazed Digital, the designer talks about how she landed a great business deal with TopShop who approached her about reproducing her MA graduate collection.
The knitwear designer graduated from Central Saint Martins MA this year and has already ensured a scholarship at Chloé and the L’Oreal Professionnel Fashion Design award, so she is well on her way. And with brilliant publicity in the like of Dazed, I think her chunky knitwear is well worth mentioning.
