Shipping Container Towers

This Unique Tower Provides Luxury Housing for Mumbai Residents

The design firm 'Ganti + Associates' recently unveiled plans for a unique tower that will provide luxury housing for the residents of Mumbai, India. While shipping containers have been repurposed for many different uses, this project aims to use the recycled material to develop luxury units for the city's elite.

The unique tower will stand 100 meters tall and feature approximately 32 storeys. The shipping containers will be locked in place with a portal frame that is connected by strong steel girders. Each unit will feature a full kitchen, multiple bathrooms, a living room and two bedrooms. Despite the small size, these units will serve as luxury accommodations for those who can afford them.

In cities as densely packed as Mumbai, stacked shipping containers provide a unique solution for housing city residents.
