Pet-Feeding Recycling Bins

This Unique Pet Feeder Trades Recycled Items for Pet Food

This unique pet feeder by Pugedon is designed to tackle two problems at once, addressing the number of stray animals that run rampant on the streets of Istanbul, as well as the need to increase recycling in the city.

The hybrid pet feeder and recycling machine is designed so that when a person passing by drops off something to recycle, food is dispensed in order to feed some of the 150,000 cats and dogs that live on the city streets. As well as being able to trade in glass and plastic bottles, people are also able to pour additional water into bowls for the animals. The value from the collected recycled bottles actually evens out the cost of the pet food, which is a win-win for the community.
