Musical 3D-Printed Videos

This Unique Music Video Combines Chocolate, 3D Printing and EDM

In order to express the sound of EDM on a deeper level, Swiss designer Greg Barth created this unique music video that combines technology and the arts.

The music video doubles as a commercial for Hello Play!, an electronic music website that share content about the music genre and concert information. Using stop-motion animation to express the qualities of the music, this video also includes a variety of quirky objects, including 3D-printed white chocolate. As well as being useful in solid form, the video also shows the melting of the white chocolate. In order to capture the visual essence of each sound, this video pushes the limits of 3D printing technology. In order to develop this short video Barth even consulted with Phenomena Labs to experiment with physics simulations using 3D software.
