This Unique IPA Features a Jalapeno Tang Without Being Overly Spicy

Alaskan Brewing has announced the return of its 'Jalapeno IPA,' a truly unique IPA that incorporates fresh jalapenos into its brewing process.

This delicious IPA offers notes of caramel, herbs and earthiness which combine with the unmistakeable peppery notes of jalapeno. What's great about the flavor profile of this unique IPA is that it manages to put forth just enough heat to remind you of the jalapeno factor without being overly spicy or difficult to consume.

Made with a combination of Munich and Crystal malts marred with a quadrant of hops of the Sterling, Apollo, Magnum and Centennial varieties, this unique IPA comes in at 8.5 percent ABV and 70 IBUs (International Bitterness Units). Ultimately, this beer represents a masterclass in how to creatively use ingredients to put forward unique flavors whilst still striking a balance.
