This Series Aims to Help People Understand the Syrian Refugee Crisis

Hungarian photographer Milan Radisics recently published a series of photos that are designed to help people understand the Syrian refugee crisis. The word is currently facing the worst refugee crisis since the Second World War. While many countries have opened their doors to refugees, others have taken a more hostile approach.

Radisics' new series reveals the faces of the migrants in the hope of helping people better understand the Syrian refugee crisis. While other photojournalists have captured heart-breaking scenes and unrepeatable moments, Radisics tries to show a more intimate side of the crisis. His photos display a portrait of each migrant without any surroundings that might alter the perception of the image. As Radisics explains, "I wanted to show the story in unusual way, through only one means: people's faces."

The intimate portrait series offers a unique and revealing view of the ongoing refugee crisis.
