Coil + Drift Designed 'Unconscious Forms' Based on Spatial Awareness

New York-based design studio Coil + Drift launched its collection for the spring entitled 'Unconscious Forms.' The new collection is wide in range, comprised of pieces such as wooden chairs, tables, mirrors, credenzas, hooped lights and lamps. The Unconscious Forms series was captured by Charlie Schuck, showcased with a group of dancers. John Sorensen-Jolink, founder of the design studio, is also a dancer and he crafted the series with the concept of spacial awareness in mind. Tapping to his expertise in the art of dance, he incorporated his background and training into the design of Unconscious Forms.

Within the Unconscious Forms series, there are the Cirrus lighting pieces, which are transparent hoops that surround the illuminating bulb and it is available in either a double pendant or a chandelier. There is also the June floor and wall mirrors -- which are framed in walnut with ridged details. The Soren is a wooden table and chair set with rounded cuts and vertical support. The Rex Credenza is a bronze reflective cabinet, and the rest of the series include the Ren side table and the Bishop floor lamp.
