Typology's Hair and Scalp Products Use Skin-Caring Ingredients

French skincare brand Typology is known for its ingredient-focused solutions and it is now applying its expertise to the hair category. The brand's new hair and scalp range, Racines (meaning "Roots") consists of a trio of scalp serums and a pair of hair oils.

Since the scalp is skin too, the brand leveraged its expertise in skincare to create hard-working formulas to compete in a competitive category. The brand's scalp treatments range from calming and densifying to purifying, and the targeted hair oils focus on nourishing and repairing.

"We’ve been seeing the convergence of skin and hair around the scalp area," says Typology founder Ning Li, "What we’re proposing here is a very targeted solution for a specific issue." With its new hair and scalp products, the brand is tapping into the "skinification" of hair.
