The Twitter Dress by Deportivo Gives a Voice to Swedish Youth

The Twitter Dress may not be an original concept, but it serves a more important function than simply displaying random tweets in a fun and fashionable way. Unlike the Light Up Twitter Dress worn by Nicole Scherzinger, it is more than a gimmick.

Created by progressive organization Crossing Boarders and creative agency Deportivo, the Twitter Dress was created with the intention of giving youth a louder voice concerning Sweden's political decisions. As reported by Psfk, "The dress was worn by a group of ‘ambassadors’ who streamed comments on issues like gender equality and affordable housing for young people. Young Swedes were also encouraged to tweet using the hashtag #Twitterklänning (Twitter dress)." A total of 454 tweets were accumulated.
