The 'Tweet & Shoot' Campaign Lets Fans Lob Balls Using Twitter

Using Twitter, fans of tennis star Jo-Wilfried Tsonga can now help him train by lobbing tennis balls with the 'Tweet & Shoot' campaign. The campaign was launched to promote banking firm BNP Paribas in honor of 40 years of sponsorship of the upcoming French Open. Fans can go on Twitter and control a machine that fires balls at Tsonga.

Created by social media firm We Are Social Paris, the campaign uses live streaming technology combined with robots and Twitter to lob balls on a real court. Users can choose where to fire the ball on a virtual court using Twitter. An on-court robot picks a random tweet and then fires the ball. A live stream of the event will be available so users can see the results of their tweets.
