Political Rap Parodies

Rock the Vote Asks You to Turn Out for What

Midterm elections are fast approaching! To ensure a high voter turn-out, Rock the Vote has created a politically-charged parody of Lil' Jon and DJ Snake's club banger 'Turn Down for What,' called 'Turn Out for What.' If this doesn't get the kids into the polling booths, I don't know what will!

The video features a glittering celebrity line-up that includes everyone from Devendra Banhart to Lena Dunham (and Lil' Jon, of course). In between the catchy beat, the stars explain what they're "turning out" to vote for, whether it be reproductive rights, marriage equality, deforestation or prison reform.

The Rock the Vote version is just as catchy as the original song -- and has the added bonus of drawing in young voters everywhere.
