Turbo.Roo the Two-Legged Chihuahua Has a Custom-Made Wheelchair

Turbo.Roo is an incredibly cute chihuahua who was sadly only born with his hind legs and no front legs to let him scamper around the world and spread his message of cuteness. Recently, the puppy was fitted with a wheelchair thoughtfully cobbled together out of toys by staff at the Downtown Veterinarian clinic in Indianapolis. He had previously been surrendered by his breeder, who realized that he would require special attention and care.

The story caught the attention of Mark Deadrick, president of San Diego-based industrial design firm 3dyn. Deadrick oversaw the design of a 3D-printed cart with wheels to support Turbo.roo in his adventures.

The custom wheelchair was crafted using a makerbot 3D printer. It is fitted with skateboard wheels for easy roaming.

The wheelchair has a custom-designed harness system that snugly fits onto Turbo.roo's body, allowing him to roam about unhindered. Photo Credits: designboom, twitter
