Although watches have been long known to embrace technology and innovation, Tudor, Rolex's sister company sought out tradition for the design of these watch straps.
The collaboration was five years in the making and began with Tudor trying to find a strap maker to match one of its models, the Heritage Chrono. Tudor's search led them to a third-generation French weaver, who is surely one of the last few that exist in all of Europe. The weaver Julien Faure worked with high-end brands Celine, Prada and Hermes and is known for its signature ribbon designs.
Despite being hand-woven, the watch straps are extremely durable and use a waterproof material. Some of the materials used vary from silk to polyester. The newest motif in the collection is a camouflage design.
