The Trylon Watch Concept References 'Back to the Future' as Inspiration

If you've seen any of Peter Fletcher's chronograph designs before, you won't be surprised by the complicated look of the Trylon Watch. Made as a concept for Tokyoflash, this timepiece experiments with a new way to represent the hour.

Everything about the precise time of day is displayed on the Y-shaped face with illuminated dashes. The branch with 12 markings indicates the hour, the section with five dashes tells you of the 10-minute block and the part with nine marks lights up to inform you of the exact 60-second interval. The Trylon Watch is actually a great deal easier to decipher than some of the designer's other complicated chronometers.

For you Sci-Fi fans out there, you might appreciate that inspiration for this wristwatch came from the DeLorean's Flux Capacitor and from the Battlestar Galactica Cylons.
