Luxury fashion imprint Balmain gave fans a peek at its Troop Nappa sneaker boot earlier this year in January at the Fall/Winter 2019 runway show. Highsnobiety sat down with Olivier Rousteing to learn more about the latest footwear silhouette, standing out as one of the four footwear models set to arrive during the colder seasons.
The fashion house has created sneakers prior to this and the creative director states, "it’s going to be the definition of the army sneaker, a true military sneaker. Obviously, I’m obsessed with motorbike aesthetics and biker pants too. I think you can see all of that in that shoe." The design is strongly informed my militaristic elements such as the strap as well as the clip but taken to a route that explores futuristic design.
