Tribute to Giacometti by Gianluca Fontana is Artistically Raw

The Tribute to Giacometti photo series pays striking homage to the work of Swiss-Italian artist and sculptor Alberto Giacometti. Not only is it greatly influenced by him, the photoshoot has turned the models into living examples of his work. Milliner Federica Moretti has done a spectacular job creating headgear resembling his statues while makeup artist Anna Maria Negri occasionally used sketch marks over the model's faces to suggest his illustrations.

Shot by photographer Gianluca Fontana, the Tribute to Giacometti photo series stars Elite models Federica Marchetti Parma, Eloise and Nomi. The intimate and raw images were captured in studio against a black backdrop, which helps to accentuate their vulnerable state in the artistic accessories they are clad in. Works of art themselves, their unique coifs were styled by hairstylist Gianluca Guaitoli.
