When sitting in a chair with no armrests, designer Philipp Von Hase noticed that we have a tendency to sink into our chair and become disoriented with where to place ours hands, which is where the Trialog chair comes in.
To remedy our arms from drifting astray, the Trialog chair was designed with three different sitting positions in mind. The three-legged chair has two legs at the traditionally front-facing end, while the hind leg reaches all the way up to form part of the backrest.
When the person sitting in the wooden chair turns completely around, the backrest can act as a leaning front armrest, while if the person is turned sideways, it can turn into a side armrest. The ergonomically designed wooden chair encourages people to sit in a more upright position, which is both healthier for the spine and improves our body language.
