Leafy Living Towers

The Tree of Life Skyscraper Provides a Complete Setting for Human Existence

The ideas of a utopian society have changed greatly even over the course of the past couple of generations, yet the Tree of Life Skyscraper proposes a single structure solution that maintains that timeless yearning for a harmonious civilization.

Submitted to the 2011 Skyscraper Competition, this perfectly perplexing project received an honorable mention. Designed by Svirid Denis and Gudzenko Anastasiya of Ukraine, the swelling and spiraling tower concept makes efficient use of all renewable natural resources.

Complete with water collection, storage and purification systems, the vertical city would also harness solar energy and exploit the use of wind turbines. The Tree of Life Skyscraper is planned for setting roots in open mines and to house inhabitants in a dynamic setting that provides all life's necessities including a place to work and a job to do. Call it an eco-friendly commune.
