Child Abuse Treatment Centers

This Space Helps Kids Who Have Experienced Traumatic Events

This space in Spaarne Gasthuis hospital in the Netherlands is a multidisciplinary treatment center that focuses on treating children who have gone through traumatizing experiences.

The treatment center was designed by All-In Living to be a much more friendly space than the stark hospitals and therapy offices that these children would otherwise be treated in. In order to somewhat normalize the experience of the children that come through the center, who may have been through situations of abuse, neglect or witnessed horrific events -- the space was designed to be as kid-friendly as possible. It offers neutral colors, toys, a playful woodland theme and ample natural light in order to improve the mood and experience of these children.

This treatment center works to be as accommodating as possible to the physical and emotional needs of the children who are required to visit it.
