Bejeweled Billboards

The 'Treasure!' Exhibition Advertises with Real Gold and Diamond Signage

Vancouver's Science World is putting on the 'Treasure!' exhibition, and to advertise it, the center has created these gold and diamond billboards.

The diamond billboard has 9,000 dazzling glass
diamonds that are meant to look like the real thing. The purpose of this billboard is to point out the fact that, compared to most other jewels, diamonds are not that rare. The gold billboard at the Treasure! exhibition was wrapped in 22 carat gold--only 2 ounces of it, hammered so thin that it covers 200 square feet!
