The Stora Enso 'Trayforma BarrPeel' Packaging is Easy to Open

The Stora Enso 'Trayforma BarrPeel' packaging is a new solution for vacuum skin packs to help reduce overall material and also deliver an easy to use experience for consumers.

The packaging consist of a sustainable barrier-coated paperboard base for the pressed trays that reduces plastic use to less than 10% of the whole design. The paperboard is crafted with 90% renewable wood fibers to prioritize an eco-friendly form, while the packaging is positioned as perfect for single portions of meat, fish and cheese or cold cuts.

Technical Account Manager Jaana Keskitalo spoke on the Stora Enso 'Trayforma BarrPeel' packaging saying, "With Trayforma BarrPeel, we improve environmental performance on two levels: protecting food to provide a longer shelf life, and reducing the share of fossil-based materials. We’re especially proud that we can achieve this while also providing a great user experience. This easily peelable tray material lets consumers enjoy their product with minimal effort."
