Transparent Tape's Modification Makes it Easy to Peel the Stuff Off

The Transparent Tape concept would prove particularly handy for those times when you need an adhesive as a temporary solution. A team from NANOIN Design came up with a roll of tape that has a glue-free edge, enabling you to easily access the strips and pull them up from the sides.

This proposal won Gao Fenglin, Zhou Buyi and Huang Xiaofei a 2013 Red Dot Design Award for its simple ingenuity. Black borders on the holder suggest the width of the adhesive-free areas and invite you to flick them back in order to acquire a segment. Because the Transparent Tape still does appear to be see-through from side to side, you can apply it to anything that requires sticking together in a subtle way. Should you need to detach it, that's effortless too.
