Romain Kremer's Clear Plastic Couture For Fall 2009

Environmental groups all over the world would throw a collective hissy fit if they saw French fashion designer Romain Kremer's plastic-themed Fall 2009 collection.

Crossing the boundary of gender identification, Kremer's show featured men wearing transparent skirts and dresses and other outfits that clearly revealed their underwear.

Implications - The color palette that Kremer used is a mix of hot pink with basic neutrals such as black and white. Some of the models walk down the runway with large headpieces that cover much of their faces. All of the clothing features a peek-a-boo patch where you can see the model's skin. I would really enjoy seeing a man wearing these outfits out in the street. That would really make my day!
