Internally Conflicted Photography

This Transformation Photo Series is Psychedelic and Intense

As humans we have all been through numerous internal conflicts about everything from body image to family hardships; however, most of us have a hard time expressing those emotions into physical form unlike this poignant transformation photo series.

Created by Guyanese Harlem-born photographer Ivan Forde, the monochrome transformation photo series is visually stunning and takes on one artist's struggle between good and evil and how juxtaposing ideologies clash.

"'Transformation' is a photographic series of portraits based on the experience of reading John Milton's Paradise Lost," says Forde about his senior project that he presented to the literature board of SUNY Purchase College.

In the series of psychedelic self portraits, the young photographer digitally manipulates himself in creative ways to explore the notions of morality, temptation and consequence.
