Minimalist Transferable Futuristic Furniture

This Furniture Can be Productive and Comforting

Designer Carlo Ratti Associati has teamed up with Cassina to create transferable futuristic furniture for a contemporary home decor. These pieces implement design and technology for advanced function and comfort. They were also digitally fabricated to visualize its performance and durability as functional furniture. 3D printing and laser cutting was used to produce each design.

These Italian designers will showcase their prototypes at MAXXI in Rome, and will showcase them in April 2014 as a new collection. This furniture makes a huge impact of technology and digital art transformations. Each design prototype depicts a new way to use furniture while having style and comfort together in one piece. This transferable futuristic furniture really aims toward a new direction in design.
